            Assalamualaikum wr.wb.

First of all, let us say thanks to Allah because of his blessing we can gather here in a good condition . Shalawat and salam we will say to our greatest prophet Muhammad SAW his family, his friends and his followers. Amin

Its really happy for me that I’m given chance to stand up here, in front of you . I would like to deliver my speech entitled “ Love Indonesia and keep our independence” .

As all of you know, The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence was read at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 1945. The declaration marked the start of the diplomatic and armed-resistance of the Indonesian National Revolution, fighting against the forces of the Netherlands until the latter officially acknowledged Indonesia's independence in 1949.

And it’s the declaration .

PROCLAMATION

WE THE PEOPLE OF INDONESIA HEREBY DECLARE THE INDEPENDENCE OF
INDONESIA. MATTERS WHICH CONCERN THE TRANSFER OF POWER AND
OTHER THINGS WILL BE EXECUTED BY CAREFUL MEANS AND IN THE
SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME.

Every year on 17^th August, Indonesia is celebrate the Independence Day. It’s very fun. There are a lot of contest, like Panjat Pinang, Balap Karung and etc. And in Istana Merdeka, they are having ceremony. Maybe, some of you go to have celebrate. You must be spirit in the independence day, you look our hero, they are held the pass to gain freedom. And us, we’re as the student, we must to have spirit to celebrate the Independence Day. If you confess you’re Indonesia’s people, you must care about Indonesia, Independence Day of Indonesia and all of Indonesia you must like, because it’s our country !!

As a student, there’s so many ways to keep our Independence. Many people said that student could only study hard so that they could participate to keep our Independence. But, not only that, I think as the rising generations we must to keep our behavior from bad attitude, and we must avoid ourself from bad things like drug and drank. Because, we are as the young generations is expectation of the nation, to carry out our future and aspiration of Indonesia to be better than now. When the young generation have bad attitude, how to carry out our future to be better?

Instead, the nation of Indonesia will be worse ! and the nation’s generation can not enjoy a proper education .

            It’s very important, with the birth of the young talented and their achievement, will further uphold the dignity of the nation. Moreover, many of our nation’s youth who get achievement at international level, this definitely makes Indonesia get attention from other countries in the world. And it makes our dignity of the nation to be more appreciated .

            Therefore, as the nation’s youth we should be more loving state of Indonesia. Because Indonesia is our homeland, a place where we were born. We must uphold the dignity of Indonesia. Don’t let the invaders come back again to our country and take our freedom. So, from now we must Love Indonesia and Keep Our Independence !!
